CURVES ON THE CATWALK

Having read an article in The Times Magazine 8 May 2010, it is a delight to read and see photographs of models with a fuller figures having recognition on the catwalk.

Eating healthily suddenly seems to be a wise move instead of starvation; I at Curvaceous and fabulous believe that the fuller figure should be embraced. Size should not matter. Look in the street and there are all kinds of shapes? To get people to feel good about who they are, is the important factor, be proud.

Fashion magazines have promoted models that resemble sticks for far too long and to read that plus-sized models are slowly being celebrated is quite wonderful. We need to see healthy images and healthy bodies – celebrate being their size. A girl who is a size 18, 20 or 22 isn’t going to look at a model that is a size 0 and think ‘Oh, I can be like that’. But she will look at a plus-size model and think, ‘Oh, I can be that sexy or pretty’.

What is a perfect figure? Women in the 50’s were more womanly and wore clothes that showed off their curves; let’s take the heat off the stick-size model and show off our shapeliness. The wonderful aspect of today’s fashion is that one can wear what they wish to wear, anything goes – surely that should apply to our figures.

UNIQUE

Folkloric, Vintage Chic, Retro Pop and other artsy styles for women who like fashions that are striking and out of the ordinary. These looks are for women who are individuals who aren't afraid to express their personal style and tastes. Theydon't follow the fashion pack and exude an air of individuality, if at times quirkiness. The very best arefashion leaders, trend-setters in their own right, rather than followers. Others may run with an earthier or artsier crowd, while the looks are unusual in style to the outsider, this dress style fits with their social network. Mainstream trends and fashion glossies flirt with these looks making them easier to find in larger sizes, but the woman who enjoys these styles year in and year out is an artist, world traveler, hopeless romantic, free-thinker or simply someone with an eye for unique beauty and detail. She is no stranger to jumble shops and vintage clothing stores, out of the way boutiques, designer ateliers, or world bazaars. Some of the shopping pleasure is the hunt for treasures and one-of-a-kind finds. Sound like you?
Well crafted artisanal detailing include chic prints, vintage tailoring, romantic styles, and ethnic touches and inspired design along with un-expected pop twists. These looks are all about the details: could be the shoes or accessories, or it could be the architectural design of the garment, a bit of lace in just the right spot, a lush texture, eco-friendly fabrics, or a bold pop of color or pattern. Price tags can go from cheap throwaway chic to luxury investment shopping, but one thing is for sure you will hear a lot of: "Where'd you find that?!"

MY THOUGHT

women make the world beautiful so why spend your days mopping of how you dont love your body?you'l make the world ugly by not appreciating and flaunting what you have.we are of different shapes and sizes and you can never be the other so why dont you make it a habit to look yourself in the mirror and love that reflection.
whether a size zero or whatever size you are this is what l believe if you are beautiful in your eyes you will definately be beautiful in the eyes of others,l love Tyras,'SO WHAT'campaign it dont matter what size you are you are beautiful so long as you love what you are......so why dont you start this today love yourself and appreciate your size, size zero SO WHAT!,size 18 SO WHAT!you are beautiful just the way you are.

your curvaceous girl

SWIM SUIT

if you are a shy girl and think you can't do the 2 piece.........then a full swim suit is also sexy just find the right to fit your shape........or you can try a hood or even a nice sarong tied around your waist

SWIM SUIT

We tend to think that a two piece is only for skiny girls .........................well think again!

FOCUS...BOOBS

l love nicki she just have those curves that everywoman dreams of she knows how to also dress but apparently today l will have to use her as an example of a too exposed cleavage..............sorry nicki but this is to much!!!

FOCUS...BOOBS

Being curvy is all about knowing how to wear the right clothes that will fit you well. Most curvaceous women have big busts which is sexy, alittle cleavage is okay however just show it keeping in mind its not exaggerated that instead of being sexy it looks just trashy...my focus curvy woman of the day is queen Lattifa she has big boobs but always knows how to dress making them look all sexy.
